Giving our staff a real Labor Day weekend!
We’re shutting down all of our offices and subsidiaries for the full Labor Day weekend so our entire workforce has time to rest and rejuvenate with their families.
“Our people have given everything they’ve got for a couple of years now, and especially for the past six months,” says Brendan Nolan, CEO. “It’s time to acknowledge that, show our gratitude and make it possible for all of us to take a healthy and welcome break from it all.”
Before the coronavirus shutdowns began in March, we’d already been experiencing our busiest period in our 44-year history, thanks to a strong housing market, attractive mortgage interest rates—and acquiring several other title companies. With the pandemic’s impact on the economy, rates fell even more and the demand for our services has been higher than ever.
After months of working 14 to 16 hours a day to keep up with clients’ needs, Tohickon’s offices are shutting down completely—including not making or responding to emails and texts, phone calls and voicemails.
Labor Day reminds us not to wait for business to slow down, but to take care of and honor our workforce now. We’re also asking our clients and business partners—who have been just as busy—to embrace the original purpose of this workers’ holiday and take this time, too.”
And if that means we won’t return on Tuesday to packed inboxes, so much the better.
“I’m extremely thankful for my staff, and very glad we can give them this well-deserved respite, no matter how brief.”
Let’s remember that we’re all dealing with unprecedented stress and added tasks, whether we’re working from home or in an office or retail setting, juggling child care and overseeing school alternatives.
“I know Tohickon’s people will be back at work on Tuesday morning, ready again to give it all they’ve got—and I’m grateful for their dedication.”
